[ ] REVIEW OF APPLICABLE INSTRUCTIONS AND PUBLICATIONS

- Review Rating Requirements :10 minutes
- Review Endorsement Requirements :10 minutes

- Instrument Flight Handbook (chapters 1 - 7)
- Instrument Flight Handbook (chapters 8 and beyond)

- Discuss Lesson Objectives
- Review Reference Publications with Student
- Review Endorsements
-- Aeronautical Knowledge
-- Flight Proficiency
-- Flight Review
-- Instrument Competency Check
- Review Required Flight Experience
-- 40 hours of simulated or actual inst time, not more than 20 may be with instructor in simulator.
-- 15 hours of inst flight with an instructor, included at least 5 in an airplane or helo, as appropriate.
-- Written test
-- Practical test
- Answer Student Questions
- Discuss Lesson Objectives
- Listen, Take Notes, and Ask Student Pilot Appropriate Questions
- Review Reference Material

- The student pilot should have the ability to explain the basic Instrument Rating Requirements and understand the required endorsements.
