(inoperative instruments and equipment).
*FAR Part 61, 65 (simulated emergencies).
*AIM, 6-1-1 (PIC responsibilities and authority), all of Chapter
6 (emergency procedures).

-Discuss Lesson Objectives
-Listen, take notes, and ask questions
-Review reference documents
-The student should have the
capability to explain IFR emergency procedures and reference
the appropriate rules, regulations, and procedures.
-Emergency procedures to include: radio loss, instrument loss,
unusual attitudes, smoke and/or fire, rough running engine, partial
power loss, sudden engine stoppage, propeller malfunction, loss
of engine oil pressure, fuel starvation, engine overheat, electrical
system malfunction, carburetor or induction icing, door or window
open in flight, inoperative or runaway trim, flap malfunction,
hydraulic system malfunction, brake failure, landing gear malfunction,
in flight icing, etc.
